In reverse order of importance:
A Mormon Senator from Idaho who supposedly didn’t drink alcohol was arrested for driving drunk. Oops.
A New York City woman pushed a man in front of a subway train because she thought he looked like a Hindu or a Muslim and she hates them. Sigh.
A “Kenyan economics expert” pleaded with developed countries to “please just stop” sending aid because it’s counter-productive. Wow.
Russia banned all adoptions to the US in retaliation for minor US sanctions against corrupt Russian officials. Argh.
France’s 75% tax on the wealthy has been ruled unconstitutional because it doesn’t meet their country’s standards for “equality.” Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
Egypt’s Islamist constitution, which contains a few too many references to “sharia,” was approved in spite of the concerns of Christians and secularists. Hmm.
The U.S.’s mass surveillance bill, FISA, was re-authorized without any amendments to promote transparency or accountability, to the outrage of almost no one. Boohoo.
The U.S. has still failed to reach a “deal” on the “fiscal cliff,” but Obama has dictated a slight pay raise for everyone in Congress. Woohoo!
India is in turmoil after a woman died after being gang-raped on a bus. It’s actually encouraging that the country has come far enough that such a tragedy has the capacity to cause national outrage that could lead to further necessary progress.

It will be interesting to see what happens to Senator Crapo. His former colleague was accused of soliciting a blow job in a public mens room. (He plead guilty although he never admitted he actually did it). He came close to resigning, and never ran for reelection. I doubt the same thing happens to Crapo. There is a good lesson for you. In America you can lie to the people about your drinking, have way too much to drink then get in a car, run a red light and thus endanger the lives of your fellow citizens, but you better not ask for a blowjob from a stranger.

Some of these I actually agree with (privacy protection) but others I think are ridiculous (bans on horse meat).
